Hi, I’m Lauren — the face (and heart) behind Fox & Fable Photography, a South Jersey lifestyle photographer who believes your photos should feel like something, not just look like something.

If you’re new here, or if it’s just been a while since I introduced myself properly, I wanted to take a minute to share who I am, what Fox & Fable is really about, and why I do what I do. Because honestly? This business isn’t just a job for me. It’s personal.

Who Am I?

I’m Lauren — fiancé, mom to my 2-year-old son Graham, and one more little one on the way. Motherhood has completely reshaped how I see the world, and it’s a huge part of why my business looks the way it does today.

Before becoming a mom, I was a photographer. Now, I’m a South Jersey lifestyle photographer who happens to understand, on a personal level, just how fast these seasons of life move — and how badly we want to hold onto them.

Outside of photography (and chasing a toddler), I’m currently finishing up my last year of my Bachelor’s degree in English. My not-so-secret dream is to become an author one day and write my own books — storytelling has always been in me, whether it’s through a camera or a page. When I’m not shooting, studying, or wrangling Graham, you can usually find me with an iced coffee in hand, thrifting for something I absolutely did not need but couldn’t leave behind.

What Is Fox & Fable About?

Fox & Fable Photography was actually born out of Graham. Becoming his mom changed the way I saw storytelling completely — I didn’t just want to take pictures of my clients anymore. I wanted to capture feeling. Emotion. The kind of in-between moments that don’t feel posed, but feel like home.

That’s where the name comes from: a fox, for the wild, instinctual, protective love of motherhood and family — and a fable, for the stories we’re all quietly living and telling, whether we realize it or not.

As a South Jersey lifestyle photographer, my whole approach is rooted in storytelling. I’m not chasing stiff, forced smiles or perfectly matched outfits. I’m chasing real laughter, real tenderness, real life — the stuff that, years from now, makes you feel something the second you look at the photo again.
