I’m Lauren Picariello, the heart behind Fox & Fable Photography. The name holds a special meaning, inspired by my son, Graham. Even before he was born, I had this unshakable feeling—something about him reminded me of a fox, though I couldn’t quite explain why. When he arrived, and as I felt a shift in both my life and my creative journey, I knew he was part of the story behind this new chapter.

Beyond photography, I’m fueled by coffee, good books, and creativity in all forms—whether it’s through tattoos, social media management, or simply finding new ways to connect with others. Expressing myself creatively is what drives me, and I pour that same passion into capturing your most meaningful moments.

Fox & Fable is more than just a name; it represents transformation, nostalgia, and the way stories weave through our lives. My goal is to capture yours—full of warmth, wonder, and a touch of magic.

Meet Alura Danu

Meet Alura Danu, our Associate Photographer at Fox & Fable Photography.
Alura will only step in to photograph sessions in the rare event of a last-minute emergency—ensuring your experience continues seamlessly and without disruption.

I’ll still personally handle all communication and editing, but if Alura is ever behind the camera, know that she brings the same heart, style, and gentle presence that define the Fox & Fable experience. She deeply embodies our values of emotive storytelling and creates space for connection and comfort in every frame.

Beyond this role, Alura runs Alura Danu Boudoir, where she empowers women through intimate, soul-centered sessions. She’s a creative soul who finds inspiration in books, heartfelt conversations, and helping others feel seen and celebrated. I'm truly grateful to have her as part of our team.

Mary: Hair & Makeup Artist

Mary is a seasoned artist with several years experience in the beauty industry.

Her makeup artistry experience has taken her from runway, photography to stage and theater as well as weddings and special occasion makeup.

Her work has been on Times Square billboards as well as having been featured in several magazines and independent films. She has also worked in runway fashion at NYFW, Miami Swim Week and FWBK among others.

In addition to being a freelance makeup artist and founder of Makeup By MV , she also owns a salon in Avon, NJ.

Mary's passion is working with clients to help create their personal vision revealing their own unique beauty one brushstroke a time.

Lexii: Hair & Makeup Artist

Hey there!

My name is Lexii and I’ve been a makeup artist for 16 years and a hairstylist for 11 years. My passion runs deep in the beauty community and I love to help people feel their best and look their best. I am a mom to a 3-year-old little girl named Fallon and a pet parent to two senior dogs named Bentley and Bailey, as well as, two rambunctious cats named Basil and Lucille. I love all things art and music. I offer full glam, creative looks, and light glam as well. From bridal looks to a night out the town, I’m your girl!
