Post-Session Playtime: Fun Things To Do with Kids After Your Fox & Fable Shoot (South Jersey Edition)
You’ve just wrapped up your family session — the kids were adorable, you crushed it coordinating outfits, and now everyone’s asking… “What’s next?”
Don’t let the fun stop at the photos! South Jersey is full of magical, family-friendly places perfect for continuing the day. Whether you’re looking to burn off some post-photo energy or just treat the kids (and yourself!) to something special, here are my favorite post-session spots across South Jersey:
🌳 Camden County
The Camden Children’s Garden – Camden
A whimsical little garden with themed play areas, butterfly houses, and a mini train ride. Perfect for curious toddlers and adventurous preschoolers.
Adventure Aquarium – Camden
If you’re already near the waterfront, take a stroll to the aquarium. It’s mesmerizing for kids and adults alike — and the shark tunnel? Always a hit.
Dulce Artisanal Ice Cream – Collingswood
Local, handmade, and super creamy. A post-session treat for everyone — their horchata and cookie monster flavors are always winners.
🍁 Burlington County
Smithville Park & Historic Village – Eastampton
A little history, a lot of nature. Walking trails, wooden bridges, and an old train car to explore — it’s a calm and scenic wind-down after a busy session.
Johnson’s Corner Farm – Medford
Seasonal fun galore: hayrides, pick-your-own produce, farm animals, and a splash pad in summer. You might even catch a live band on the weekends.
The Pop Shop – Medford
Funky, retro diner with kid-approved meals and colorful milkshakes. It’s loud, playful, and a favorite for families (bonus: breakfast all day!).
🍂 Gloucester County
Scotland Run Park – Clayton
With wide-open spaces, a playground, nature center, and walking trails, this is a peaceful place for little ones to run free.
Creamy Acres Farm – Mullica Hill
Pumpkin patches in fall, sunflowers in summer, and sweet treats all year round. A great place to explore after a nearby photo session.
Angelo’s Pizza – Glassboro
Cozy, casual, and kid-approved. Whether you’re wrapping up a golden hour shoot or just need to refuel, this place hits the spot.
☁️ Rainy Day Magic: Indoor Play Spots
When the weather doesn’t cooperate, these indoor gems save the day — and give kids a chance to keep the fun going after their moment in the spotlight.
Jellybean Jungle – Marlton
Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, this whimsical indoor play space is full of color, soft play equipment, and imaginative stations. It’s clean, safe, and wonderfully age-appropriate.
Playportunity – Cherry Hill
A modern indoor play center with climbing structures, pretend play zones, and sensory areas. Great for kids of all ages, especially if they’ve got energy to burn after a studio session.
Imagine That!!! – Florham Park (a bit of a drive, but worth it!)
If you’re up for an adventure, this 16,000 sq. ft. wonderland has hands-on exhibits, a fire truck to climb in, and even a life-size dinosaur. Best for making the day truly unforgettable.
We Rock the Spectrum – Mount Laurel
An inclusive sensory-safe gym with swings, zip lines, and play equipment designed for all children, including those with special needs. Thoughtfully run and always a hit.
Pro Tip: Some of these play spots offer drop-in hours or memberships — perfect if you're planning a weekday session and want a little post-photo play before nap time.
Bonus Idea: “Bookend the Day”
Bring along a change of clothes and plan to stay out — you’re already dressed, everyone’s glowing from their session, and the day is still young! Whether it’s a picnic in the park, a trip to the playground, or ice cream for lunch (because… why not?), you’re making memories that go way beyond the photos.
