The heart behind Fox & Fable Photography

I’m a photographer, a coffee enthusiast, a lover of tattoos, and a mom to a little boy who changed everything for me. Becoming a parent in 2024 gave me a deeper appreciation for the small moments—the ones that pass in a blink but live in our hearts forever. That’s why I created an experience that’s more than just a photo session. It’s an opportunity to slow down, connect, and walk away with images that truly feel like you.

What to Expect

Before your session:

Once your retainer is paid, your session date is officially reserved on my calendar. The remainder of your payment is due the evening before our session unless you've opted for a payment plan.

Soon, you’ll receive your custom style guide, carefully curated based on the details you shared in your questionnaire. It’s designed to inspire you—whether you’re pulling looks from your own closet or clicking directly to shop the pieces I suggest. And if you’re feeling unsure, don’t worry—I’m here every step of the way.

If you’re interested in borrowing something from the client closet, I’ve got a dreamy selection of gowns for mamas and sweet, whimsical pieces for little ones. You’re always welcome to browse and borrow—just let me know.

Hair and makeup are included in your session. Let me know if you have a specific preference for your hair and makeup artist. You’re more than welcome to chat with your artist beforehand to share any inspiration or ideas you have—they’ll help you craft a look that fits your vibe perfectly. Your artist can come to your home, meet you at their salon, or, if you're doing a studio session, we’ll handle everything there.

The day before your session, keep an eye on your inbox. I’ll be sending over a checklist with all the little reminders and tips to help everything go smoothly. And just in case you’re wondering—there’s no time limit on your session. We’ll take it slow, keep it easy, and let the magic unfold naturally.

After your session:

You did it! Your session is complete—but the magic is just getting started.

Within four weeks, I’ll send you a lightly edited proof gallery. These preview images are watermarked and lower resolution, created to help you select your final favorites. You’ll have 48 hours to choose the number of images included in your purchased collection. If you need more time, that’s totally okay—I just ask a $50 re-upload fee to keep everything flowing smoothly in my editing queue. I edit every gallery with my full attention and care, one at a time, so each story gets the love it deserves.

Once I receive your final selections, I’ll dive into your gallery and begin the final edits. When your gallery is complete, you’ll receive high-resolution, beautifully polished images delivered through an online gallery—ready for downloading, printing, and sharing however you like.

If you’ve booked either The Fable or The Storyteller Collection, this is also when you’ll pick your included wall art. You’ll be directed to a form to choose your frame style, thickness, and any upgrades you might want. Once your choices are in, I’ll place your order and email you the tracking info. I’ll also check in personally to make sure your artwork arrived safely and is everything you hoped for.

And if you decide you'd like more images than your original collection includes—no problem at all. You’ll have the option to purchase additional digitals, order high-quality solo prints, or upgrade to professional framed wall art. You can view all the options right here on this page.

How to Prepare the Family

You don’t need to show up perfect—you just need to show up as you. That’s where the magic happens.

If you’re bringing the whole crew, talk to your kids ahead of time about the session in a fun, low-pressure way. Let them know it’s going to be playful and relaxed—not stiff or forced. Feel free to bring snacks, small toys, or anything that helps them feel comfortable.

Worried about how the kids will do? Don’t be. I’ve seen it all—meltdowns, wiggles, snack breaks—and it’s all welcome here. Sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when things go “off script.”

If it’s just you and your partner, take this as a chance to pause and connect. You don’t have to pose or perform—just be present. I’ll guide you every step of the way so it feels natural and easy.

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s connection. And I promise, that’s more than enough.

Client Closet

Choosing what to wear doesn’t have to be stressful. In fact, it can feel fun, intentional, and completely effortless—especially with access to the Fox & Fable Client Closet. I’ve curated a dreamy collection of pieces that photograph beautifully, flatter all body types, and bring that extra layer of magic to your session.

From flowing gowns that move gracefully in the wind, to soft, textured dresses for little ones, the client closet is available for you to borrow from. You’re welcome to browse the options, schedule a try-on, or simply let your style guide guide you in mixing borrowed pieces with your own.
